You would usually see the specialist for a consultation unless you have been referred by your dentist. Once you fully understand your options and costs we would arrange for treatment to be carried out. Local anaesthetic is used to make the treatment as pain free as possible and the root canal system in the tooth is cleaned out and filled so that you will no longer be in pain.
