What to Expect From Your Botox Treatment
Botulinum Toxin-A, better known as Botox, is a popular minimally invasive injectable product that relaxes muscles in a targeted area. By blocking nerve signals to the muscles in areas of the face where lines and wrinkles occur, Botox can smooth their appearance.
Botox is a safe and effective procedure that we can perform in a short amount of time. We’ll start by identifying the specific areas of concern. Using our in-depth understanding of facial anatomy, we’ll pinpoint the precise spots to inject Botox to achieve excellent results.
Next, we’ll inject the Botox. We use Botox to treat wrinkles in the forehead, around and under the eyes, mouth, jaw and neck.
Once the procedure is complete, you can return to your day without needing rest and recovery. We’d suggest avoiding spending time in the sun, drinking alcohol, or doing any strenuous exercise for the rest of the day, and you may experience some slight flu-like symptoms.
Some swelling and redness is normal after Botox treatment. We may suggest not wearing makeup in the treatment area and applying an SPF 30 for a short period after the procedure. Botox usually takes a few days to start working, and you’ll see the full results after a couple of weeks.
To maintain your Botox treatment’s excellent results, we recommend having further injections periodically.
Botox treatment at Richmond Hill Dental starts at £300 for one area; however, if we’re treating two areas, it’s just £425, and £499 for three.
The Versatility Of Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers use a natural hyaluronic acid to restore plumpness to your skin and lips. Just like Botox, dermal fillers are carefully injected into specific parts of your face, where they quickly reverse the effects of ageing. This treatment is ideal for enhancing the appearance of your lips or cheeks.
Once we’ve assessed your facial features and planned your treatment, we’ll inject the fillers. This pain-free experience usually takes less than half an hour.
There’s no downtime following the procedure, so many people choose to have the brief treatment on their lunch break.
The effects of dermal fillers are instantly visible. You may experience some swelling and redness; however, this quickly passes on its own.
Over time, the hyaluronic acid will naturally break down. To ensure your skin stays plump, we’d suggest coming back for a top-up treatment at a later date.
